HMRC has confirmed that as part of its ‘continuing efforts to improve its services to send and receive taxpayer information digitally’ from June 2025 it will no longer automatically send paper copies of the following non-statutory corporation tax letters: CT205/A return reminders for companies and agents CT207 interest statement CT209 payment receipt CT603A agent list of issued notices to deliver company tax return and CT608 instalment payment reminder.

It also plans to trial phasing out paper CT208 corporation tax reminder letters. The trial will initially stop sending reminders to a small population of taxpayers with agents and if successful HMRC will increase this eventually to include all taxpayers. The department says it will monitor the effect and stop the trial if it sees a negative impact on taxpayers or process.
