Importance of recognising everyone is different

I urge everybody to read Paul Rosser’s article on page 17 of this week’s magazine. I was delighted to present Paul with his trophy for the ‘outstanding contribution to tax by an individual’ at the recent Taxation Awards to acknowledge the work that he has done to draw attention to some of the shocking things that have been going on in parts of the research and development tax credits world. Those of you who have followed his LinkedIn feed will know that this has come with some personal risk.

We have asked Paul to contribute a technical article for a later issue but this week he writes what I think is a very moving piece about his personal challenges as an autistic person attending a noisy and brightly lit event.
