Pity our worthy PM, Gordon Brown.
There he is in India, promoting good relations with UK, telling India that it should take its rightful place on the United Nations Security Council, etc.
But is he on the front pages of Indian newspapers?
Is he heck!
No, they are full of the imminent visit of France’s president Nicolas Sarkozy – discussing his supermodel girlfriend.
Ah, Gordon: always in the shadow of someone else.
All those years as Chancellor of the Exchequer, but there was Tony looming large, and now in what should be his glory days, overshadowed by a Frenchman, for no other reason, let’s be honest, other than the fact that he is dating a former supermodel.
