Last nght, I enjoyed a few pints with a couple of my best friends, who both work as journos on a freelance basis.
After all discussions about football, food, cinema, and the state of the British press had been exhausted, the conversation turned to their recent tax bills.
Inevitably, both complained about having to fork out - and one pal was particularly galled, reckoning he'd paid well over the odds.
Quickly, I worked him through his tax comp.
Just as quickly, I realised that my ATT studies are finally sinking in.
That, of course, was cause enough to celebrate with more beers.
Get a round in, and then return to Taxation.co.uk.
