Freshly qualified tax professionals around the world aren't being well looked after by their more experienced colleagues, claims the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
A new global study by the organisation suggests that coaching and mentoring is being poorly practised across the finance profession.
The ACCA report - called The Coaching and Mentoring Revolution – Is it Working? - covers 700 of the body's members, across 170 countries.
It suggests that although coaching and mentoring is often an aspiration within the financial sector, but rarely a reality - and coaching practices tend to be restricted to senior management.
