Who would have thought a few weeks ago that we would be witnessing a Lib-Dem surge following Nick Clegg’s ‘winning’ appearance on last week’s election debate?

Not everyone’s happy of course and sadly it seems that non-dom Conserative candidate Zac Goldsmith is now unlikely to win the ‘ultra-marginal’ Richmond constituency from the Lib-Dems.

I suppose that means there will be fewer ‘noises off’ in the next parliament about non-dom MPs.

Wait a second, isn’t Nick Clegg’s wife a Spanish commercial lawyer?

Wouldn’t you just love to know whether she is one of the 4,600 non-doms who paid the £30,000 charge last year.

Just a minute, why am I talking about Nick Clegg's wife; what about the man himself?

It seems that his father was half Russian and his mother is Dutch; are you thinking what I'm thinking ...?
