Sad news to report – following on from my recent news that ex-Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona was facing bankruptcy at the hands of HMRC for an unpaid tax bill.
The BBC reports that Kerry was made bankrupt in the High Court this morning, after her lawyer admitted that he was ‘not in a position to assist further’ in settling the outstanding £82,000 of her £417,000 tax bill.
It seems to me that Kerry is now someone who is famous for being famous, and I for one hope to see her bouncing back from this!
What makes me sure that she will is the fact that, despite everything else going on in the world today - good, bad or simply terrible - the most popular story on the BBC's website this lunchtime is the news about Kerry's run-in with HMRC.
