This is the first day I've worked from home.
I don't mean the first day since I joined Taxation; I mean the first day ever.
And I'm distracted.
Not by the TV, or my CD collection, or by a fridge full of meat and cheese, but by the thought that I'm incurring costs that are likely to be tax deductible.
At least, I will be if I carry on like this and the amounts rack up.
That would mean that I'd have to complete a self assessment form - and the prospect of that is way more diverting than, say, the opportunity to watch The Dark Knight on DVD or eat a pastrami sandwich.
Back to the office tomorrow.
I can't wait.
