Mark Lee has just finished a series of three blog entries about LinkedIn for accountants.

Very good they are too, but he's not mentioned that expert on using social media to get ahead, President Barack Obama.

So it's not surprising to find that POTUS has his own LinkedIn entry.

Nor that, with '500+ connections'  (many of whom have presumably got a lot of connections themselves) a lot of people are finding that they are connected to the Leader of the Free World, if only through a contact of a conatct.

So bragging rights go to the person with a) the closest level of connection to POTUS, and b) the greatest number of their own first level contacts through whom they have that connection.

You find it by logging in to LinkedIn, and then going to Barack's profile. There's a heading on the right hand side which says 'How you're connected to Barack'!

I can only manage a 3rd level contact through 17 of my 1st level ones; I'm sure you can all do better than that.
