It's Friday afternoon and continuing the women’s underwear theme for the moment (is the Avon brochure coming round again soon by the way?), the reported sad demise of Frost French Ltd seemed to bring out some suitable analogies for firms going into liquidation.

  • A clothing company has folded.
  • Underwear designers have gone bust.

There must be many more, along the lines of…

  • Plumbing suppliers... down the pan.
  • A slimming club... belly up.
  • A car body repair business... crashed.
  • Toothpaste manufacturers... down the tubes.
