It's almost a year since the Taxation blog drew attention to Texas's decision to instigate a levy on clubs that feature nude or semi-nude dancers.

Now, New York state legislator Felix Ortiz is suggesting a similar sort of 'pole tax' - and at $10, it's twice as much as punters have to pay in the Lone Star State, where a judge has ruled the levy unconstitutional.
