It seems BBC Radio 1 recently invited guests to bring along the oldest tunes in their record collections. The most vintage track proffered was the 1950 recording of Good Morning, Judge by Wynonie Harris.

But the Beeb decreed that the first verse was inappropriate for broadcast, even post-watershed, concerning as it did saucy goings-on with a 15-year-old girl.

Verse two, however, was suitable for radio listeners, said Auntie.

The subject matter: tax evasion.
