The Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) is a useful source of news stories for Taxation.co.uk.
(Take, for example, this week's report that suggests 18 million families will soon be worse off as a result of recent Government tax moves.)
So, this morning I finally got round to putting myself on the IFS information centre's mailing list. To do this I had to ring the institute's perfectly pleasant press officer.
I defy anyone I speak to in a professional capacity this year to have a better name than hers. I only wish she'd been over-friendly to the point of being sickly - like, say, treacle.
That would've made a title for this blog entry easy to come by following a conversation with Bonnie Brimstone.
