A final version of the CT600 guide is now available on HMRC’s website.

Exchange rates

VAT Information Sheet 07/14 has been updated. It provides details of some of the most used currency exchange rates needed by non-EU businesses so they can complete declarations and make payments to HMRC in sterling.

Pension scams

HMRC and the Pensions Regulator have revised the leaflets on pension scams. The leaflets provide guidance on what trustees and scheme members can do to reduce the risk of becoming involved in such scams, and the tax impact of releasing pension funds early using these types of arrangements.

Stamp taxes

HMRC’s new Stamp Taxes on Shares Manual is now available.

NICs

The National Insurance Contributions Bill has been introduced into parliament. The draft bill and explanatory notes are available on GOV.UK.

SAYE rates

HMRC have made changes to the bonus and interest rates for save-as-you-earn (SAYE) share option schemes, sometimes referred to as sharesave. The new rates took effect from 28 July 2014.
