The Chartered Institute of Taxation is holding the following conferences in autumn.



The Autumn Residential Tax Update Conference will take place on 10 to 12 September 2004 at the University of Nottingham, Jubilee Campus. Speakers include Emma Chamberlain who will discuss tax planning using trusts, Robert Ellerby on share schemes, Chris Jones on tax planning for owner managed businesses, Rebecca Benneyworth on the Finance Act 2004, John Selwood talking on accounting standards, Stephen Ward on pensions simplification, Martyn Ingles on property tax issues, and Paul Harris who will discuss research and development reliefs. The attendance fee is £390 plus VAT.



Right and responsibilities are joint conferences with the Inland Revenue and Customs to be held simultaneously on 1 and 2 October at Latimer House Conference Centre, Chesham, Bucks. The joint conferences will include the following speakers from the profession: Richard Mannion, Kevin Slevin, Philip Baker QC, Michael Conlon, Andrew Watt, Simon McKie, John Whiting, Mike Arnold, Steve Botham, and Stephen Taylor. Revenue speakers will include: Chris Simpson, Ebrahim Ali, Andy Cole, Jonathan Leigh-Pemberton, and Ray McCann. Customs speakers will be Mark Alderton and John Egerton. David Varney will give a keynote address.


The attendance fee for each of these conferences is £375 plus VAT.
