What is a weblog?

This isn't a rhetorical question. I'm really asking you.

There are so many answers. Can anybody offer the definitive one?

A blog — as far as I see it at least — can be an online journal a journalistic forum a digital image resource a library for academic material an audio-visual platform a method of viral marketing an educational tool or simply a soapbox from which to shout opinions across cyberspace.

Blogs number in their millions — around 112 million actually.

And we've all got one… haven't we? I know I do.

I won't reproduce the address here (but feel free to e-mail me for it if you feel you'd be fascinated by the minutae of a fat Northerner's life).
