Got it covered

I was reading the letter More website woes by Dave Pearce when, lo and behold, I experienced some more ‘HMRC website woes’.

I accessed ‘What’s new’ on the HMRC home page and tried to download the PDF of ‘leaflet explains how to avoid a penalty’, the first item under 4 August.

My computer could only download the front first page, nothing more.

I tried to report this to HMRC by using the ‘contact us’ section, then under ‘feedback’, and then I used ‘a broken link’ to report this under.

I completed the relevant boxes and when I tried to send the report it came up with, ‘sorry cannot find this page’, etc.

However, my sanity was saved (just) as I was able to report both these problems under ‘feedback’, but under the ‘looking for information on our website’ reporting link.

This, I assume, went through without any hitch.
