HMRC advice on using form until it is updated
HMRC advise that the Online Returns and Forms — PAYE service has not yet been updated to take into account the recent increase in the personal allowance.
Until it is updated, HMRC ask that when employers complete an online P46 and select either scenario A or B, they should use tax code 603L, not tax code 543L, as displayed on screen.
The code must be operated on a cumulative or week 1/month 1 basis.
The tax code shown if you select scenario C is still BR.
