This book is published by Thorogood Publishing a publisher probably not known to many readers of Taxation.

Its portfolio consists of a series of reports on commercial topics such as business/commercial law employment law finance (in which category the work in question is placed) management marketing and sales human resources.

Tax Planning for Businesses and their Owners is described as a ‘special briefing’ for business owners and managers; in the author’s foreword he notes that the work does not pretend to be a comprehensive guide to taxation.

The commentary assumes little prior knowledge and I think most professional readers would find the ‘tax planning’ on offer to be rather basic though to be fair they are evidently not the intended audience.
