Taxation's editor will talk through HMRC letter to firm's clients

Taxation's editor will be the speaker at an open meeting for taxpayers caught up in HMRC's ongoing criminal investigation of an East Sussex accountancy firm that specialises in the TV industry.

Mike Truman will appear in a personal capacity at the event – sponsored BECTU, the media and entertainment trade union – to discuss the general issues raised by the Revenue's letter to clients of Christopher Lunn & Company.

There will then be a Q&A session with a panel of practising accountants who specialise in media clients, to discuss what should be done by taxpayers affected by the matter.

The meeting is scheduled for 7pm on Thursday 11 November at the small meeting hall in Friends House, opposite Euston station, London. Doors will open at 6.45pm.
