The April edition of HMRC’s Trusts and estates newsletter has been published. The various articles cover a range of topics including excepted estates, encouraging charitable legacies and non-contentious probate fees.

TDSI Bulletins

Tax Deduction Scheme for Interest (TDSI) Bulletins 37 and 38 are now available. They contain articles on the form R85/helpsheet 2011 and the new rules for qualifying time deposits from 6 April 2012.

Penalties video

HMRC have published a video for tax advisers on YouTube to explain penalties for inaccuracies in documents and returns.

QROPS

The Pension Schemes Services has published an update to the qualifying recognised overseas pension schemes (QROPS) list.
