It barely seems a minute ago since we were celebrating that London was going to host the Olympic Games and now they are over.

In a similar vein the patent box proposals were originally mooted in November 2009 and now they are enshrined in legislation.

We as professional tax advisers need to understand the patent box and to advise our clients whether it is appropriate for them to enter the regime.

The patent box also provides a great opportunity for us to understand and get to know our colleagues in the legal and patent attorney professions ...
