Bill to Act

The Finance Bill 2015/16 received royal assent on 18 November to become Finance (No 2) Act 2015.

Scotland

Deputy first minister and finance secretary John Swinney will publish financial plans for the Scottish government on 16 December 2015.

Contracting-out

Countdown bulletin 11 has been published. It contains guidance on the ending of contracting-out in April 2016. The latest edition provides information on pensions forums to be held in December including dates and venues guaranteed minimum pension service reconciling active membership records and customer relations team mail box.

Double tax

HMRC have updated the double taxation treaty passport scheme register. It provides for double taxation relief on UK loan interest payments made by a UK corporate borrower to overseas corporate lenders.

CASCs

HMRC’s guidance on the community amateur sports club (CASC) scheme has been amended....
