The UK government is ramping up its ‘business readiness’ campaign for the end of the transition period. For those on the receiving end of GOV.UK alerts it has been a veritable blizzard of information with links to further web pages. Navigating this stormy sea of guidance has been challenging to say the least.

When asked what clients should do to plan for the end of transition I invariably reply: ‘Plan for the worst and if the outcome is better it’s a bonus.’ That may seem flippant but in the current climate predicting the outcome...
