In my last article for Taxation (20 January 2022 page 8) I looked at the ways in which technology is being used by tax practitioners and businesses highlighting technologies covered in my report The Tax Technology Horizon published by Tolley (www.tolley.co.uk/taxhorizons). Writing that report left me wanting to explore some of the themes in more detail and to look particularly at the interface between taxpayers (whether individuals or businesses) and tax authorities....
