The Portsmouth Sole Practitioners’ Group has been running for over 30 years and between us we have hundreds of years’ experience in assisting small businesses to fulfil their accounting and tax obligations. We have always tried to keep abreast of changes as they happen and with a dozen or so members we pride ourselves on generally keeping up with changes as well as if not better than some of the larger firms. That is until the legislation on Digital Tax Accounting for VAT appeared. Those of us who are close to or past retirement age are all considering just giving up and those who have some time to go are struggling to work out the best strategy for their clients and their businesses.
